Mexico and the United States will hold the first formal round of negotiations from May 27 to 29, 2026, in preparation for the Joint Review of the Treaty between Mexico, the United States, and Canada (T-MEC), which will be headed by Marcelo Ebrard, Secretary of Economy.
Both countries agreed to begin formal negotiations and to define next steps to deepen the talks, with a view to identifying concrete results for the benefit of the region. Mexico and the United States reaffirmed their commitment to continue strengthening bilateral cooperation to advance a more integrated, dynamic, and robust North America. The parties agreed to hold a second round of negotiations in Washington, D.C., on June 16 and 17, and a third in Mexico City during the week of July 20.

We would like to inform you that, in accordance with Joint Press Release 16/2026 issued by the Mexican Tax Administration Service (SAT) and the Mexican Customs Agency (ANAM), the deadline for submitting the Electronic Manifestation of Value (MVE) has been extended to July 31, 2026. This extension provides a Mexican foreign-trade importer with additional time to adapt their processes and acquire the necessary tools to comply with this requirement via the Single Window for Foreign Trade Procedures (VUCEM).
